A Profile Info field is where you store information about your subscribers. You can store data like First Name, Status, Age, or Birthday in a Profile Info field. Data can be typed directly into these fields in Informz, but most of the time you'll be using Subscriber Upload to bring data into these fields.
Once these fields are created and populated, they can be used for personalization and targeting.
Navigate to Subscribers > Profile Fields.
Click Create in the upper left hand corner.
Select Personal Info from the dropdown list.
Enter the Field Name.
Select the Data Type you want to use:
- Phone Numbers
- International Phone Numbers
Adding a Default Value is optional. This will ensure that if you use personalization in your mailing, and your subscriber did not fill anything out, there will be a default value used. An example for First Name might be "Friend" or "Valued Member."
Fill out the # of Characters to Accept.
Check the box for Propercase on Upload to have Informz automatically apply a proper case to the incoming data.
Keep in mind...
Once you have built the personal information, you should not delete it because if it is used in data formats or target groups, that information will become incomplete and Informz will not be able to read it. If you do try and delete the information, Informz will display an error message. Now that you have mastered creating personal info fields, try creating demographic categories!
